About The Position
A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an Investment Funds Associate Attorney to join its growing Florida practice in Miami or Palm Beach. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private fund sponsors, asset managers, family offices, and institutional investors in sophisticated fund formation and investment management matters.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of investment funds, private funds, or fund formation experience
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
- Florida bar admission required or ability to become admitted
- Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Excellent academic credentials
Nice To Haves
- Experience representing private equity funds, hedge funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, or other alternative investment vehicles preferred
- Experience advising fund sponsors on regulatory and compliance matters is a plus
Responsibilities
- Representing private fund sponsors, asset managers, family offices, and institutional investors in sophisticated fund formation and investment management matters.
- Fund formation
- Sponsor-side matters
- Co-investments, and related transactions
- Drafting and negotiating limited partnership agreements, operating agreements, subscription documents, side letters, and related fund documents
- Advising fund sponsors on regulatory and compliance matters
