About The Position

Cerity Partners is looking for Summer 2027 Interns to join our Investment Office as part of our Central Solutions team. This internship is data and technology focused — you will help cleanse and consolidate investment data, help build data visualizations using AI tools such as Claude, and support Investment Policy Statement (IPS) and proposal projects. As an Investment Office Data & Technology Intern, you will work with the Portfolio Management team. The role provides exposure to the multi-asset class institutional investing model, and to a range of investment strategies and asset managers. This is a paid, full-time internship (40 hours per week) that offers practical experience in a professional setting. It’s a strong opportunity for students seeking direct insight into the investment industry at a nationally recognized registered investment advisory firm.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree with a strong academic record.
• Exhibits a strong interest in public and private market investing and portfolio management, as well as financial data and technology solutions.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with mainstream AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT), with interest in applying them to data analysis and visualization.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Confidentiality and professional integrity of the highest order.

Nice To Haves

• Finance, Mathematics, or Economics majors would fit well with the roll but not required.
• Experience with data management or data visualization tools (e.g., Excel Power Query, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI) is a plus.
• Experience with Bloomberg and Morningstar a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct asset class and capital markets research.
• Prepare clear, concise written reports of analysis performed.
• Provide reports, data, and analysis for the CIO, Head of Solutions, Head of Investment Management, Head of Research, and other business leaders, as directed.
• Participate in research calls and meetings with industry-leading investment managers; prepare and distribute meeting notes.
• Utilize and help build AI tools to support research, drafting, data analysis, and visualization.
• Cleanse, consolidate, and maintain investment-related databases, spreadsheets, and models.
• Support the preparation of Investment Policy Statements (IPS) and client proposal solutions.
• Collaborate with a team to develop a financial planning or investment research project.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
