About The Position

The Investment Consultant role is based in an Investor Center and focuses on developing customized financial plans for existing clients and warm leads using Fidelity’s products, services, and planning tools. The role emphasizes guiding clients with sound judgment and product knowledge, focusing on providing investment solutions and growing relationships with a dedicated local advisor. The consultant will work directly with clients to help them make investment decisions in their best interest, presenting and implementing solutions that meet client needs and have a lasting impact on their financial future.

Requirements

  • FINRA Series 7 & 66 licensed and hold appropriate state registrations, OR ability to acquire Series 66 upon hire.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various investment solutions and can educate customers on the values and differences of each.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to grow relationships are exemplary.
  • Will take initiative and exceed expectations.
  • Outstanding communication and consultative skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) - Issuing Authority, Series 07 - FINRA, Series 63 - FINRA, Series 66 - FINRA.

  • A degree, equivalent experience, or other professional certifications are beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Develop customized financial plans utilizing a wide range of products, services, and Fidelity’s planning tools.
  • Engage with existing clients and warm leads.
  • Provide investment solutions and grow relationships with a dedicated local advisor.
  • Work directly with clients to help them make investment decisions that are in their best interest.
  • Present and implement solutions that suit the client’s needs by skillfully working with Fidelity’s planning and guidance resources.
  • Facilitate financial planning discussions and recommend solutions that best align with client needs using Fidelity’s guidance tools.
  • Use technology to prepare for and conduct efficient one-on-one appointments, maximizing client time and enabling effective follow-up planning.
  • Grow relationships through proactive outreach, seeking to understand clients’ goals and objectives.
  • Refer clients to wealth management partners based on needs and financial complexity.
