About The Position

Morgan Stanley is offering a Return to Work Program in their Menlo Park office from January 18, 2027, through May 7, 2027. This 16-week paid program is designed for experienced professionals who have taken a career break and are looking to re-enter the workforce. Participants will be placed in roles aligning with their expertise, with opportunities for comprehensive training, mentorship, and professional development. The Investment Banking Executive Assistant role involves performing a variety of administrative functions with a high degree of confidentiality, initiative, and sound decision-making for an executive and their team. Responsibilities include providing high-level administrative support, conducting research, preparing reports, handling information requests, preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, managing travel arrangements, and scheduling meetings. The role requires the ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient with a high level of professionalism. Experience in developing relationships within a highly matrixed organization and handling administrative tasks with minimal supervision is expected. Adaptability in procedures, processes, and techniques to meet assignment completion and departmental goals is also necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Executive or Administrative Assistant role
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Being able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in calendar management
  • Adaptable team player
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Strong working experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, including table creation, mail merges and basic formatting
  • Knowledge of general office procedures (e.g., filing, correspondence, scheduling, expenses, calendar)
  • Effective interpersonal skills and excellent telephone etiquette
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Tact and good judgment in confidential situations and proven experience interacting with senior management
  • Individuals who have been out of the workforce for two or more years.

Responsibilities
