We are currently looking for an Investment Banking Associate to join our Energy & Power team in the Houston, TX office. Our associate position offers a unique opportunity for ambitious professionals seeking to play a meaningful role in our continued growth while gaining significant experience in M&A, debt, equity and equity-linked transactions. The associate will prepare valuations, write memorandums for company sale assignments and private placements, prepare M&A analyses, and participate in due diligence and drafting sessions for public offerings. The associate is responsible for structuring and executing transactions, and typically functions as a backup for relationships with important clients, is generally the key contact for some clients, and begins to assume some important new business responsibilities. Requirements

  • 3 years of experience involving financial analysis, transaction execution or related
  • Exceptional work ethic and a high level of enthusiasm, initiative and leadership potential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop rapport with existing and potential clients
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial modeling
  • Highly motivated, team player with an ability to learn in a fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Degree in finance, business, management, engineering, science, or other related degrees
  • U.S. work eligibility is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in investment banking, private equity, or oil and gas is beneficial
  • An MBA would be an asset
