Requirements

  • Strong academic track record, with a background in finance, accounting, business or economics
  • 3-4 years of investment banking experience (technology coverage preferred)
  • Solid understanding of the entire sell-side M&A process, along with proven experience in successfully closing deals
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical abilities, as well as a deep understanding of financial statements
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A high degree of intellectual curiosity and a desire to never stop learning
  • Keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work product
  • Ability to manage rapid timelines and proactively manage any potential conflicts
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, make informed decisions, and act independently
  • Comfort presenting to and engaging with senior colleagues, clients, and counterparties
  • Commitment to the firm and our clients

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior professionals covering Software and Digital Media clients
  • Learn about a range of end-markets: supply chain software, proptech, education technology, HCM software, semiconductors, sports tech, etc.
  • Support teams working on M&A as well as equity / debt capital raises
  • Research economic and industry-specific developments
  • Analyze financial statements and other investment attributes of publicly traded as well as private companies
  • Help prepare marketing materials and other presentations
  • Build relationships with clients and prospective clients
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff
