About The Position

D.A. Davidson & Co. is seeking an Experienced Analyst for its Investment Banking Consumer Group. This role is crucial in supporting senior bankers on strategic assignments, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements, and other advisory services for clients. The Analyst program offers comprehensive training, including Wall Street Prep in the first year, mentorship from senior bankers, and ongoing development over a three-year period, with opportunities for promotion to Associate. The position requires a passion for investment banking and corporate finance, a thrive in high-expectation team environments, and the ability to conduct extensive research and in-depth analysis to produce professional work products.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years experience in Sell-Side M&A
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Highly motivated and confident with a strong desire to succeed in a challenging field
  • Strong knowledge of business software (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Basic corporate finance and accounting knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong work ethic and team oriented
  • Able to handle multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Good judgment in confidential situations and ability to exercise discretion
  • Securities Industry Essentials Exam
  • The successful completion of the FINRA Limited Representative-Investment Banking Exam (Series 79) and the Uniformed Securities Agent State Law Exam (Series 63)

Responsibilities

  • Work on a team within the Consumer industry vertical, and develop industry specific knowledge
  • Support the team’s projects, including business development and investment banking transactions
  • Create financial analysis for a wide variety of projects, including company valuation, projections, peer analysis, etc.
  • Prepare materials for team assignments, such as pitch books, management presentations, information memos, etc.
  • Coordinate and perform due diligence
  • Participate in recruiting efforts
