About The Position

The Investment Banking Development Program at Capital One is a 2-year program designed to launch a challenging, accelerated, and rewarding career within Capital Markets. The program awards a full-time Analyst position within one of the following lines of business: Derivatives, Financing, KippsDeSanto, or TripleTree, and offers substantial opportunity for professional development and upward mobility. Participants will receive hands-on, technical, and market-oriented training, and be exposed to leaders throughout the broader team to build a strong foundation for a career in investment banking. Guidance will be provided to foster career development and aid the transition from college to the full-time workplace, helping participants build confidence, skills, and experience to accelerate their careers. Challenging team and individual projects, constant client interaction, broad product exposure, and immersion into multiple areas of Capital Markets and the Commercial Bank will help participants grow their competencies and establish themselves as leaders. Requirements

• Currently have, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by July 2027 or earlier
• Located in the continental United States
• In-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model, and any specific in-person attendance standards set by your individual team.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or public accounting experience
• Major in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Data Science
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Exceptional quantitative, analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
• Knowledge of general accounting and finance principles
• Passion for the financial markets and the economy
• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Create client marketing presentations, memoranda, and other materials
• Develop an in-depth understanding of investment banking products and services
• Conduct industry and market research
• Prepare and analyze historical and projected financial performance
• Assist in the preparation of valuation models
• Work closely with Capital One’s relationship bankers and Underwriting teams to provide Capital Markets insight and deepen the product and/or advisory suite for their clients
