We're on the lookout for talented individuals to join our Canadian team as Investment Banking Analysts. We're looking to build teams across Canada with opportunities in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary. As an Investment Banking Analyst, you'll be exposed to a wide variety of clients, industries, financial services and products, and work on various integrated teams that will provide you with the necessary skills to develop, grow and thrive in Investment Banking.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with a demonstrated interest in finance
  • Have a combination of strong financial/analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Adept at financial modeling and valuation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to attain FINRA SIE and Series 79 licenses.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior investment banking analyst experience
  • CA and/or CFA designation considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and mergers and acquisition opportunities.
  • Develop valuation models of individual private and public companies as well as merged entities.
  • Apply valuation tools to assess opportunities.
  • Value private and public companies.
  • Assist with client negotiations and documentation.
  • Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos.
  • Prepare client presentations based upon the above.
