About The Position

Citizens Bank is seeking Investment Banking Analysts to join the Capital Markets & Advisory (“CM&A”) team. Analysts work closely with the team’s junior and senior professionals preparing, analyzing, and executing investment banking related transactions, primarily within the U.S. middle market. Analysts are assigned to active and prospective engagement teams across multiple industries within our core areas of focus and have the opportunity to grow professionally in a fast-paced environment. Within CM&A, bankers are organized into four core groups: Industry Coverage, Leveraged Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Equity Capital Markets. Analysts are aligned with specific groups and potentially organized further by sector coverage. Availability of each group and sector varies by office location.

Requirements

Current students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, graduating between Winter 2026– Spring 2027
Minimum GPA of 3.2; Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.5
Strong analytical skills and software skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency is required.
Candidates must currently be a U.S. Resident to be eligible for this program.
Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Relevant work experience, leadership experience and coursework in Finance, Accounting or Economics is preferred but all majors will be considered.

Responsibilities

Financial modeling, comparable company and transaction analyses, leveraged buyout, and other valuation analyses.
Draft key marketing and transaction-related documents.
Develop new business ideas, pitch strategies, or transaction structuring scenarios to help clients achieve their strategic objectives.
Develop and assemble pitches and presentations and be an integral part of delivering these presentations.
