Investment Banking Analyst - Financial Services - Specialty Finance
About The Position
Piper Sandler is seeking an experienced analyst to join its Specialty Finance Investment Banking team within the Financial Services group in its Charlotte, North Carolina office. The role provides immediate exposure to capital-raising transactions and strategic advisory projects, with long-term growth potential and career advancement opportunities. Analysts support transaction execution, prepare market-related materials, track public and private companies, build financial models, perform valuation analyses and investor targeting, conduct industry and company research, and interact directly with clients and senior bankers. The position is intended to develop a versatile skillset that supports long-term career goals. The role is eligible for annual incentive compensation; the anticipated starting salary is $110,000–$125,000 per year, with placement dependent on experience, location, and other factors.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of investment banking or related financial experience.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and learn quickly.
- Detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience with financial modeling or formal training.
- Positive attitude and desire to contribute to the culture of a close-knit team.
- U.S. work eligibility; must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
