About The Position

Our client, a full-service investment bank with more than 125 years of history and a global platform spanning securities brokerage, trading, research, underwriting, and corporate advisory services, is seeking an Analyst 3 to join their Investment Banking team in New York, focused on the Clean Energy & Power sector. This role suits a highly motivated self-starter with strong technical and analytical skills, ready to take on significant execution responsibility in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects at once. As a senior Analyst, you will play a key role in day-to-day deal execution and take on informal leadership responsibilities within deal teams. The sector focus includes Clean Power & Renewable Energy (utility-scale and distributed solar, wind, and off-grid decarbonization developers), Electrification & Mobility (EV infrastructure, next-generation transport, and battery logistics), Grid Modernization & Software (smart energy management systems and AI-driven grid software), Energy Storage & Carbon Tech (utility-scale battery energy storage systems and carbon removal platforms), and Alternative & Next-Gen Fuels (biomass, biofuels, and transition metals).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required
  • Typically 2–3 years of investment banking analyst experience (Analyst 3 level)
  • FINRA licenses required: SIE, Series 79, Series 63
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain complex financial models and valuation analyses supporting M&A, capital raises, and restructuring transactions within Clean Energy & Power
  • Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and other marketing and pitch materials
  • Conduct in-depth industry, company, and financial due diligence
  • Support day-to-day deal execution and coordinate workstreams across deal teams
  • Assist Associates and senior bankers with client-facing deliverables and transaction materials
  • Mentor and guide junior Analysts, reviewing their work and helping onboard new team members
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including pitch preparation and market research
