About The Position

As an Investment Bank Coverage Analyst at Texas Capital Bank, you will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's investment banking activities by assisting in the development and maintenance of client relationships, conducting financial analysis, and preparing pitch materials. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field from an accredited institution.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and corporate finance concepts.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses (or ability to obtain within a prescribed timeframe).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or FactSet is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth industry and company-specific research to identify potential clients and strategic opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, including valuation analyses (e.g., comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow analysis).
  • Prepare compelling pitch books, presentations, and other marketing materials for client meetings and internal discussions.
  • Assist in the execution of M&A transactions, capital raises (debt and equity), and other advisory assignments.
  • Support senior bankers in client outreach, relationship management, and deal origination efforts.
  • Analyze financial statements, market data, and economic trends to provide insightful recommendations.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including product groups, credit, and legal.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and deal-related databases.
  • Participate in due diligence processes for various transactions.
