Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of financial advisory sales experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial planning, products, policies, procedures, and operations.
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) certification and/or mutual fund license (active registration preferred).
  • Thorough understanding of financial products and services is an asset.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check, reference check, and credit check.
  • Eligibility to hold a mutual funds license and be registered with Aviso Wealth.

Responsibilities

  • Uncover the full financial needs of members, provide solutions, and/or refer them to the appropriate Advisor.
  • Support and/or facilitate the financial planning experience for members.
  • Be proactive in pursuing external/internal business opportunities by retaining existing members and actively soliciting new business.
  • Review marketing data to determine new market potential.
  • Leverage opportunities with existing members through in-branch/telephone communication.
  • Establish and implement a sales plan focused on retaining and attracting new mid/high net worth members.
  • Develop internal referral sources and centers of influence.
  • Improve profitability with existing members and develop business from them.
  • Identify staff developmental opportunities and provide effective coaching and technical training.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to assist team members with skill development.
  • Ensure adherence to all corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines, including compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements to mitigate risk.
