About The Position

The Point72 Academy Summer Internship is an 8-week program taking place from June to August 2028, designed for students graduating between December 2028 and July 2029 who are interested in pursuing a career in investing. The program combines structured training with hands-on research on an investment team and prepares interns for a potential career on Point72’s fundamental equities teams. It can also serve as a starting point for the full-time Point72 Academy Associate Program. Interns build a foundation in company research, financial analysis, and investment analyst skills. Training covers accounting, modeling, presenting, and compliance. Interns work with analysts and portfolio managers to research companies and industries, learn how investment ideas are developed and debated in a live market environment, and receive feedback from Academy coaches while conducting data analysis and preparing a final investment pitch. The program also explores ways to use AI in investment processes and workflows in collaboration with Compliance, Information Security, and the Office of the Co-CIO. Point72 is a global alternative investment firm led by Steven A. Cohen, pursuing fundamental and systematic investment strategies across asset classes and geographies. The firm describes its culture as investor-led and focused on attracting and retaining talent and supporting employees’ long-term growth.
