About The Position

The Investment Analyst role is part of the Fixed Income Product Management (FIPM) team at Wellington Management. This team supports clients' investment needs by working closely with fixed income investment teams, relationship teams, and business colleagues. The FIPM function focuses on three main objectives: Product Development and Marketing (driving client growth through business planning, solution development, messaging, and subject matter expertise), Investment Integrity and Risk Management (providing oversight of investment and risk processes, ensuring alignment with client objectives, conducting reviews, and contributing to governance), and Business Management (overseeing product operations like risk, capacity, pricing, and guidelines, resolving challenges, and promoting best practices). The Investment Analyst will perform analyses to ensure portfolio integrity, contribute to new strategy development, conduct market and competitor analysis, evaluate product overlap and capacity, and prepare materials to differentiate portfolios. Over time, they will participate in client meetings to communicate investment philosophy, strategy, positioning, and performance. The ideal candidate is a flexible problem solver with a can-do attitude who takes ownership.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Progress towards the CFA.
  • A Bachelor’s degree with very strong academic credentials.
  • Strongly preferred experience leveraging AI tools to enhance analysis, productivity, and decision‑making.
  • Preference for candidates with fixed income product knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses that ensure portfolio integrity by providing oversight of portfolio positioning, performance, and risk exposures.
  • Contribute to the development of new investment strategies and client solutions.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis.
  • Evaluate product overlap and capacity trends.
  • Prepare white papers and presentation materials that serve to differentiate portfolios.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, prospects and consultants to communicate investment philosophy, strategy, positioning, and performance.
