About The Position

The Point72 Academy Investment Analyst Program for Upcoming Graduates is a paid ten-month training program designed to introduce individuals to the buy-side and prepare them for a potential career as an analyst at Point72. The program is seeking current students graduating between December 2026 and July 2027 to join its 2027 classes. Upon successful completion, there is an opportunity to join a network of more than 230 Point72 Academy graduates placed at the firm. Successful placement as an analyst provides access to mentorship and professional development resources for career progression.

Responsibilities

  • Learn fundamental research and analysis skills needed to become an investment analyst at Point72.
  • Apply intellectual curiosity in a role that prizes creativity, autonomy, and analytical rigor.
  • Develop sophisticated company analysis and modeling skills with guidance from Academy faculty, investment professionals, and university professors.
  • Learn statistics, accounting, financial modeling, data analysis, coding, and more.
  • Complete a compliance training curriculum.
  • Apply developed skills to real-life situations through rotations with up to three investing teams.
  • Work closely with investment professionals, gaining firsthand experience and mentorship.
  • Build and refine sophisticated financial models to understand businesses and their changes.
  • Perform company channel checks, attend industry events, and build relationships with sell-side analysts and sales professionals.
  • Analyze data sets to develop investment theses, subject to firm compliance policies.
  • Conduct oneself with the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, ethics, and excellence.
