About The Position

As an Investment Analyst on the Investment Grade Credit Research team at Nationwide, a Fortune 100 company, you will be responsible for supporting the Public Corporate Credit team. This involves identifying, analyzing, and recommending investments within the Investment Grade bond market. Nationwide Investments employs a research-driven, team-oriented, and results-focused investment process to manage client portfolios, with Credit Research being one of three critical functions alongside Portfolio Management and Trading. The company emphasizes customer-centricity and delivering extraordinary care. This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization and Nationwide does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Up to 5 years of related investment experience.
  • Uses judgement with supervision required for overall tasks
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Demonstrates presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and organize work priorities

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or CFA preferred
  • prior Bloomberg experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Performs basic research and analysis within the asset class in support of the team’s investment decision-making process.
  • Identifies risk and return drivers, develops and models forward-looking scenarios, analyzes relative value, and provides input into investment recommendations for positioning within assigned sectors.
  • Communicates analysis and investment theses through use of written reports, presentations, conversations, and market meetings.
  • Evaluates changes in the economic, regulatory, legislative, and competitive business environments that impact investment fundamentals, valuations, and positioning within client portfolios.
  • Builds relationships with internal and external partners to facilitate the analysis of investment opportunities.
  • Collaborates successfully with other Nationwide Investment groups to advance our clients’ best interests.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
