About The Position

As a member of CIBC Wood Gundy, you will be responsible for building and growing Wood Gundy client portfolios through dedicated relationship management, trusted investment advice and exceptional client service. As an Investment Advisor Assistant, you will work closely with Investment Advisors at CIBC Wood Gundy to help manage their portfolios and develop new business. You will directly engage with high-net-worth clients to offer support, uncover business opportunities, and proactively improve the client experience. Requirements

  • Current accreditation and in good standing as an Investment Representative (IR) with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID).
  • Hold the CIRO Derivatives license, having successfully completed the CIRO Derivatives Exam.
  • Financial Services and/or Brokerage industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of various quotation equipment is required.
  • Fluent in French and English.

  • Registered Representative (RR) licensing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance standards when dealing with clients or handling client files.
  • Perform administrative duties and participate in administrative processes related to Investment Advisor and team support.
  • Assist in the development of investment plans and written proposals for current and prospective clients.
  • Assist with processes to redirect assets to appropriate financial products based on client risk tolerance and demographic profile as determined by the Investment Advisor.
  • Focus on each client's experience and connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful.
  • Anticipate client needs and communicate promptly with your team to build trust and deepen client relationships.
  • Identify activities, processes, and opportunities to improve the client experience.
  • Follow through on requests by answering questions and providing an exceptional experience.
  • Verify documents in accordance with established signature delegation procedures to confirm that documents received from clients are complete and properly signed.
  • Review complex legal agreements related to cash management products to enable the implementation of new products and changes to existing products.
  • Close gaps in signing authority documents, escalate unresolved issues, enforce policies, or engage appropriate internal partners to facilitate resolution.
  • Support your Advisor by responding quickly to client requests and maintaining compliance standards on all files.
  • Drive team success by improving team productivity, uncovering business opportunities, and assisting in the allocation of assets to the right financial products.
