This position is responsible for supervising investigators. This is accomplished through planning, organizing, staffing, training, motivating, and supervising the personnel and operations of the office. Work is performed under supervision through conferences and review of accomplishments concerning the achievement of the unit and division goals and objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for all supervisory duties including hiring and selection, developing performance plans, conducting performance appraisals, planning and directing work, approving leave, and taking disciplinary action as appropriate. This role also involves conducting comprehensive quality control of files, supervising investigations of complaints against Health Care Practitioners, and reviewing and assigning cases. The position requires advising subordinates of policy and procedural changes, delegating tasks, conducting investigations and inspections, evaluating evidence, and preparing reports. The incumbent will assist the Investigation Manager with complex projects, ensure training is conducted regularly, and oversee performance reviews. Additionally, the role ensures the office is adequately supplied and staffed with experienced personnel. This position has security access to Facebook for research purposes only when conducting investigations. The incumbent will also answer public inquiries, make referrals, conduct public speaking engagements, and make professional contacts. Performs other related duties as required.
