This position is for an animal welfare officer position with the Office of Animal Welfare, responsible for enforcing laws related to dog control, animal cruelty and rabies control throughout the state to ensure animal protection and public safety. The Investigator III is the lead investigator for a county-wide team of animal welfare officers. Investigator III oversees complex criminal investigations, dangerous dog investigations, and other significant cases. Works to ensure thorough quality investigation and enforcement of animal welfare laws. Supports the Investigative Supervisor and serves as back up when supervisor is out. Also responds to day-to-day dog control calls for service.
