The Oregon Department of Justice (DOJ) – Child Advocacy and Protection Division is seeking an experienced and dynamic Investigator 3 interested in joining our team in our Medford location. In alignment with the Oregon Department of Justice’s mission to serve state government and support safe and healthy communities throughout Oregon by providing essential justice services, the Child Advocacy and Protection Division (CAPD) provides quality and timely legal advice and effective court representation to the Oregon Department of Human Services Child Welfare Division (ODHS) in order to protect children from abuse and neglect and to support families, allowing children to grow up in safe and stable environments. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a team to conduct a wide variety of investigations on legal cases assigned to CAPD involving child abuse and neglect. This position works closely with Assistant Attorneys General (AAGs) to assist in the legal representation of the Oregon Department of Human Services, Child Welfare. CAPD Investigators provide top tier support to legal teams through locating subjects for service of process, research, observation of locations and people, and preparing pre-trial witness interviews.
