Primary job duties include: Conducting ongoing research to identify new information or sources of information Analyzing records and evidence including financial statements, bank records, general ledgers, invoices, and tax returns Maintaining official case files throughout investigations Collecting information obtained from electronic databases, public records, and financial institutions that involve subjects of investigations Providing spreadsheets and analytical reports summarizing information surrounding investigations Investigating complaints, inquiries, or violations of South Carolina laws or regulations Conducting inspections or surveillances of businesses and individuals Coordinating, planning, and assisting with witness interviews and affidavits Serving as a witness or corroborator of interviews Assisting in the preparation for trials by reviewing witness testimony, analyzing evidence, and coordinating witnesses
