About The Position

The Investigational Drug Service (IDS) Pharmacist is responsible for coordinating pharmacy services related to clinical research throughout Froedtert Hospital. The IDS Pharmacist is responsible for abiding by regulatory requirements as well as practices related to the safe, ethical and quality provision of investigational pharmacy services and corresponding drug products. Research, administrative and educational duties are required of this position. This position has an extensive customer service base, including frequent interactions with internal and external customers. This position provides daily oversight of a clinical research assistant, and intermittent oversight of pharmacy students, interns, residents, based upon projects and rotations. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Pharm.D. degree or B.S. with commensurate experience.
• Knowledge of applicable TJC standards, FDA and OHRP rules and regulations governing research in humans and use of investigational agents, and state and federal laws.
• Clinical knowledge regarding clinical research, drug products, disease states, and pharmacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with both external and internal professionals and other customers.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Skills in prioritization, problem solving, team building, decision making, time management and strategic planning.
• Familiarity with equipment necessary to provide pharmacy services (IV pumps).
• Familiarity with sterile product preparation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook; Micromedex, Epic, and PDX.
• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Wisconsin (or eligible).
• CITI certification.
