Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering or science field.
  • Two (2) years of electrical module assembly experience.
  • Understanding of electrical module DFM requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of developing engineering specifications for assembly processes.
  • Good written and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of inverter manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of laser welding and selective soldering processes.
  • Project management and risk management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and documenting the key inverter assembly processes.
  • Supporting the tier 1 inverter assembler with implementing the inverter assembly processes for production.
  • Developing and documenting inverter manufacturing and assembly processes (i.e. laser welding, PCBA soldering, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain engineering specifications for the inverter assembly.
  • Support tier 1 inverter assembler with adapting inverter assembly processes toward mass production.
  • Contribute toward decision making of tier 1 inverter assembler production equipment selection.
  • Prototyping manufacturing tools and fixtures to aid in the inverter assembly process.
  • Support tier 1 inverter assembler with developing/creating manufacturing tools and fixtures for production.
  • Conduct DOEs to prove out inverter manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Maintain and procure parts to develop prototype manufacturing tools/fixtures.
