About The Position

As an Inventory Technician at Maddox, you will work in a storage and staging yard environment, utilizing your technical and mechanical skills to test and evaluate liquid-filled transformers. This role is not an assembly-line factory job but a fast-paced, hard-working, and rewarding position within a team of qualified inventory technicians. You will operate electrical test equipment and power tools for testing, evaluating, disassembling, troubleshooting, and quality controlling electrical transformers. Responsibilities include documenting test results, mechanical condition, dimensions, and accessories. You will also operate forklifts and cranes for inventory organization and loading/unloading transformers. The role requires standing for most of the time, working with your hands, and being outdoors in various weather conditions. Requirements

Comfortable with online documentation and web-based software systems (computer & smartphone).
Excellent communication skills (in-person, phone, email).
Quick learner.
Ability to meet basic physical requirements for a heavy-equipment environment with 90% or more of the time on your feet and outdoors.
Occasional exposure to confined spaces.
Knowledge of how to use basic hand tools.
Ability to operate a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Operate electrical test equipment and power tools to test, evaluate, disassemble, troubleshoot, and quality control electrical transformers.
