About The Position

At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy, the Inventory Tech manages supplies and equipment accurately and efficiently to maintain optimal stock levels and support patient care. The role receives, stocks, issues, and tracks inventory; performs counts and reconciles discrepancies; processes orders; and uses inventory management systems. It requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with inventory software to support operational efficiency and cost control.

The position restocks and rotates supplies, distributes medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas, monitors product par levels, identifies and returns excess inventory, processes credits, reports outdated or slow-moving inventory, and participates in put-away and validation of perpetual inventory items. It also maintains clean, orderly stock locations, labels bins, and handles requests to change par levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma in General Studies or GED.
• One year of supply-chain-related or other relevant experience, required upon hire.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Restock supplies daily and rotate inventory to maintain accurate levels, generating orders or requisitions as needed.
• Distribute medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas and monitor product par levels to ensure appropriate stock for patient care.
• Identify excess inventory, return stock, and process credits.
• Notify the supervisor about outdated or slow-moving inventory.
• Participate in put-away and validation of perpetual inventory items; issue and credit materials in the inventory management system.
• Maintain clean and orderly stock locations, label bins, and handle requests to change par levels.
• Receive, stock, issue, track, count, and reconcile inventory; process orders using inventory management systems.
