About The Position

The Inventory Support position will be reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and plays a key role in supporting safe, efficient, and well-coordinated warehouse operations. This position is responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, and rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.

Requirements

  • Requires developing job knowledge/skills;
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience;
  • Working knowledge of MS office suite;
  • Attention to detail ensuring documentation, processes and tasks are completed with accuracy and consistency;
  • Strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold quality, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience would be considered an asset;

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, and rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary;
  • Within parameters, determines routing and arrangements for shipments, considering such factors as nature of items being shipped, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost;
  • May reroute urgent shipments of an urgent nature or arrange for special delivery at destination;
  • Prepares and maintains records of products shipped and tracks shipments;
  • Receives incoming materials, unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications;
  • Maintains records of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents;
  • Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines;
  • Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks; and
  • Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
