About The Position

ERock is seeking a highly organized, hands-on Inventory/ Warehouse Supervisor to lead operations at our new El Paso, Texas field warehouse. This role oversees a small team of Inventory Specialists responsible for receiving materials from suppliers and our Houston distribution hub, picking and assembling preventive maintenance kits, delivering parts for unplanned maintenance needs, and managing the return and disposal of used field inventory. You will play a critical role in designing and launching this new facility — including racking layout, material flow, personnel roles, and hiring decisions — while partnering closely with the Site Operations Manager and reporting directly to the ERO Inventory Manager.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in managing a team, with a proven ability to lead and schedule staff, conduct performance coaching, and assist with hiring and training new employees.
  • Deep understanding of warehousing processes and regulations, including ERP/WMS systems and how timely transactions are required to maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security and safety operations and the ability to respond immediately to emergencies to provide assistance.
  • Ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) while contributing to the overall optimization of the inventory.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to coordinate with other areas to achieve goals with minimum direct supervision.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Excel, ERP/WMS and other MS Office tools.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Best Practices, SOX rules, and Inventory Count procedures.
  • Experience operating various types of forklifts and a valid state-issued driver's license are required.
  • A self-starter who can multitask, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines on their own initiative.
  • Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and to use standard warehouse equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry 50 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Frequent standing, walking, and extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of securing loads and logistics planning with trucking companies is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean/Operational Excellence standards and practices (i.e. 5S, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Are proficient with ERP systems, inventory management tools, and work order processing.
  • Understand financial/accounting systems and how inventory transactions impact them.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and developing a small team of Inventory Specialists.
  • Assigning daily tasks, approving timecards, maintaining training records.
  • Conducting coaching, performance reviews, and supporting hiring decisions.
  • Overseeing receiving, picking, kit assembly, staging, and delivery of parts for planned and unplanned maintenance.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate ERP transactions for all material movements.
  • Managing disposal and return flow of used inventory from the field.
  • Designing the initial warehouse layout and selecting racking and storage solutions.
  • Defining material flow and operational processes for a new facility.
  • Establishing personnel roles and supporting hiring for the site.
  • Collaborating daily with the Site Operations Manager, Production, Planning, and Procurement teams.
  • Ensuring maintenance readiness and material availability.
  • Building and managing a cycle counting program to maintain 99%+ inventory accuracy.
  • Supporting quarterly and annual audit requirements.
  • Leading Lean-focused initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and space utilization.
  • Implementing 5S, Kaizen, and other operational excellence practices.
  • Creating, processing, and closing work orders.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate inventory transactions.
  • Resolving WO consumption errors and maintaining digital documentation.
  • Ensuring safe operation of forklifts and equipment.
  • Reporting broken tools and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
  • Identifying slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to clear space for high-velocity components.
