About The Position

As an Inventory Supervisor with us, you’ll lead efforts with a hands-on approach as you navigate inventory and materials and support a team. This role involves handling all aspects of inventory movement, compiling and maintaining records, participating in inventory counts and reconciliations, and coordinating inventory requirements with management. You will also track the transportation and distribution of inventory, oversee stock records, and compile evaluation reports. Additionally, you will train and coach material handlers, address equipment needs, and promote a safe working environment by following procedures and reporting unsafe acts.

Requirements

MS Office experience, primarily Excel
At least 2 years’ experience in transportation, warehouse, distribution or other related environment.
Excellent communications skills (written, verbal & listening) and interpersonal skills needed in order to interface with and influence all levels of personnel.
Prior experience using a forklift (certified is desired) and pallet jacks.
Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be Bilingual (English + Spanish).

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
3+ years of experience in transportation, warehousing, and/or distribution environment.
Current valid Driver’s License, if there is a need for transporting finished goods. Must also be at least 23 years of age.
Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management and quality management.
Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize daily work and meet all internal and external deadlines.

Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of inventory movement of materials and tools, including stocking, re-stocking, and accounting for every item in the warehouse.
Compile and maintain records of the quantity, type, and value of the inventory on hand.
Participates in monthly and year-end inventory cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation issues.
Coordinates inventory requirements and procurement details with the division’s Inventory Manager or other management, depending on site.
Track the transportation and distribution of tool and material inventory.
Oversees the records of all stocks and compiles evaluation reports, including daily audits.
Trains and coaches material handlers to ensure work is performed as expected for safety, quality and production deadlines.
Gives feedback about performance and job expectations to ensure respectful accountability.
Collaborates with Inventory Manager or other members of management in partnership with HR to resolve employee concerns.
Address and report all equipment defects or maintenance needs to maintain safe and efficient use.
Follow all procedures and policies and know the equipment before using it.
Speak up when observing something that may be unsafe or someone performing unsafe acts.
Efficiently perform work according to standard operating procedures.
