About The Position

An Inventory Specialist works with and reports to the General Manager and is responsible for HUB operation while performing various duties related to inventory management, order fulfillment, and store operations. This role involves ensuring timely order processing, accurate inventory counts, effective merchandising, and adherence to company policies and procedures. The Inventory Specialist also plays a role in training team members and maintaining operational records.

Requirements

  • Competent in oral and written communications.
  • Able to handle basic math computations.
  • Prior retail experience, including basic merchandising and inventory management skills.
  • Able to drive a forklift, if certified and applicable.
  • Able to use a hand truck and pallet jack.
  • Well-mannered, neat in appearance.
  • Possess the ability to meet and deal with the public in an unbiased manner.
  • Previous work records should demonstrate stability and performance results.
  • Able to come to work on short notice.
  • Able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
  • Immediately report any violation of company policy or procedure to the General Manager and/or District Manager.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and ship HUB orders on time.
  • Contact servicing stores if a HUB order cannot be filled to explain reordering procedures.
  • Complete all parts department cycle counts, including OUTS, in collaboration with the store management team.
  • Assist the store management team in completing all parts department plan-o-grams.
  • Stock all parts department parts with the store management team.
  • Complete all parts department callbacks with the store management team.
  • Complete MAXI changes in the parts department with the store management team.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required training materials and attend all scheduled store meetings.
  • Train and develop Team Members to ensure HUB operations align with company policies and procedures, under the direction of the General Manager.
  • Coordinate product delivery, inventory maintenance, operating record keeping, and daily transaction records through the General Manager.
  • Help ensure compliance with established security, customer service, and record-keeping policies and procedures.
  • Perform task assignment and completion, safety duties, and open/close duties as a Key Holder.
