About The Position

The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing the inventory of all vehicles at the facility within company timelines. Using company-provided tools, the Inventory Specialist will document vehicle condition according to company standards, including a complete inventory and supporting photographs. Additionally, the Inventory Specialist will direct the flow of traffic in the receiving area to ensure timely processing of vehicle inventory, using a system of priorities. Finally, with a thorough understanding of Copart policy, the Inventory Specialist will facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to work outdoors in all seasons
  • General automotive knowledge/mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency, with the ability to operate handheld devices preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Driver's license preferred
  • Bilingual skill a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the inventory of all vehicles at the facility within company timelines.
  • Document vehicle condition within company standards, including a complete inventory and supporting photographs, using company-provided tools.
  • Direct the flow of traffic in the receiving area to ensure timely processing of vehicle inventory, using a system of priorities.
  • Facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer's needs, through a thorough understanding of Copart policy.
  • Monitor, maintain and organize the receiving area.
  • Operate camera and utilize a handheld inventory device to process incoming vehicles.
  • Determine operational capability of motor vehicles.
  • Complete vehicle inspection inventories (TLEs) on required vehicles.
  • Maintain inventory of all materials used.
  • Compliance to company policies and procedures.
  • Compliance to safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
