About The Position

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for the accurate receipt, inspection, storage, and movement of materials to support production operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely availability of materials, and supporting overall production efficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
2+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing environment
Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP systems
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Nice To Haves

Experience with ERP systems
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
Understanding of inventory control practices (FIFO, cycle counting, etc.)

Responsibilities

Receive incoming materials, components, and shipments
Verify quantity, part numbers, and condition against packing slips and purchase orders
Report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods to purchasing/leadership
Label and document received items per company procedures
Accurately enter receipts and transactions in the ERP system
Maintain proper inventory locations and organization
Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory
Ensure inventory accuracy and traceability at all times
Store materials in designated locations following FIFO or material handling requirements
Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production areas as needed
Support kitting and production prep activities
Assist with movement of finished goods to shipping
Prepare packages for outbound shipment
Verify order accuracy prior to shipment
Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Maintain clean, organized work areas (5S standards)
Properly handle materials, including hazardous or sensitive components where applicable
