About The Position

Allied Seed is seeking an Inventory Specialist to prepare and process necessary documentation for manufacturing, while also monitoring and maintaining seed inventories. This role works closely with Customer Care and Warehouse Operations to fulfill sales order needs. The company is headquartered in Nampa, Idaho, and is part of the GROWMARK system, dedicated to advancing the forage, turf, and cover crop industry through high-quality seed.

Requirements

College degree in business or equivalent experience.
1+ year of related work experience demonstrating knowledge of logistics and seed operations.
Ability to work well with other teams, including Warehouse, Customer Care, and Logistics.
Must pass a background check, drug test, motor vehicle report, and/or reference check.

Responsibilities

Prepare manufacturing work orders from creation to reconciliation, review, and posting.
Create and print seed tags, pallet labels, and work orders for warehouse staff.
Monitor and maintain inventories in accordance with FIFO practices.
Enter and file seed samples, request tests, and enter test results into the company ERP system.
Enter scale tickets for received seed, enter transfers, and oversee seed transfers.
Maintain working knowledge of the company ERP system.
Crosstrain with other Inventory Specialist staff to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
Collaborate effectively with Warehouse, Customer Care, and Logistics teams.
Adhere to Allied Seed’s Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Program, and Environmental Health and Safety, OHSA, and DOT policies and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
