This position partners with the customer to provide Grainger inventory management services aligned with Grainger or the customer's internal processes on the customer's site. The role functions as a dedicated customer service resource for a specific customer, managing indirect inventory at the customer's location. Responsibilities can include managing Grainger and Non-Grainger inventory within a customer tool crib using Grainger or customer-specific software and processes. The Inventory Specialist reports directly to the Manager, Onsite Services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in related field or equivalent
  • Lift 25 to 60lbs
  • Willing to work in a warehouse environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage and stock customer's inventory levels for Grainger and Non-Grainger inventory through KeepStock programs and Crib management
  • Support the customer's inventory management and product procurement processes by managing the daily integration of all indirect inventory into the customer's product processes
  • Provide excellent customer service by resolving problems promptly in a manner to retain and promote customer loyalty
  • Perform product search and select activity directly with customer in-house for end-users
  • Provide quotes based on customer request
  • Provide specialized reports requested by the customer
