Inventory Specialist Full Time CHICAGO, IL

This position partners with the customer to provide Grainger inventory management services aligned with Grainger or the customer's internal processes on the customer's site. The role functions as a dedicated customer service resource for a specific customer, managing indirect inventory at the customer's location. Responsibilities can include managing Grainger and Non-Grainger inventory within a customer tool crib using Grainger or customer-specific software and processes. The Inventory Specialist reports directly to the Manager, Onsite Services.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in related field or equivalent
- Lift 25 to 60lbs
- Willing to work in a warehouse environment
Responsibilities
- Manage and stock customer's inventory levels for Grainger and Non-Grainger inventory through KeepStock programs and Crib management
- Support the customer's inventory management and product procurement processes by managing the daily integration of all indirect inventory into the customer's product processes
- Provide excellent customer service by resolving problems promptly in a manner to retain and promote customer loyalty
- Perform product search and select activity directly with customer in-house for end-users
- Provide quotes based on customer request
- Provide specialized reports requested by the customer
