About The Position

Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting shipping and receiving operations, and ensuring timely delivery of parts and materials to internal teams. This role plays a key part in supporting service, maintenance, engineering, and operations by keeping inventory organized, accessible, and moving efficiently across facilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in inventory, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or operations preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Forklift driving experience (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and staging materials
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counting, audits, and system updates
  • Perform scheduled and ad-hoc cycle counts, investigate variances, and support inventory adjustments
  • Track inbound and outbound materials using inventory systems (MES/ERP or similar)
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of parts and materials
  • Monitor inventory levels and flag shortages or discrepancies proactively
  • Support service parts inventory and replenishment needs
  • Deliver parts and materials to engineering, maintenance, and operations teams as needed
  • Support urgent part requests and prioritize time-sensitive deliveries
  • Assist maintenance teams by staging and delivering service parts.
  • Receive inbound shipments and verify contents against packing lists and purchase orders
  • Prepare outbound shipments including packaging, labeling, and staging for carrier pickup
  • Coordinate with shipping and logistics teams to ensure timely movement of materials
  • Maintain shipping and receiving documentation accuracy
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all safety, inventory control, and compliance procedures
