About The Position

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking an Inventory Specialist in Bland, Virginia. This full-time role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing material flow, and ensuring the quality of stock. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP. This position is crucial for optimizing warehouse operations and supporting production needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (understanding pivot tables and formulas).
• Familiarity with SAP.
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and regularly lift/move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with production and logistics teams.

Nice To Haves

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business.
• A forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly physical inventory counts to verify system accuracy.
• Log incoming shipments, outgoing finished goods, and internal material transfers.
• Investigate stock variances, locate misplaced items, and report any damages, shortages, or overages to management.
• Safely transport materials to the production line and organize the warehouse for optimal workflow.
• Inspect stock for defects or expiration dates and ensure all inventory is stored according to safety guidelines.
