Inventory Specialist - 1st and 2nd Shift - Smyrna TN Plant
About The Position
The Ideal Tridon Group is seeking an Inventory Specialist for their Smyrna TN Plant. This role is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, processing purchase orders, performing cycle counts, and compiling inventory data. The Inventory Specialist will input data, generate audit reports, coordinate material movement, update receiving systems, and monitor material handling to ensure quality and delivery expectations. The position requires adherence to safety procedures, proper handling of materials, and quality checks. Overtime and a flexible schedule, including early starts, late work, and occasional weekends, may be required.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and learn the production process.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Hi-Lo Certification preferred, will be trained, and certified on the hi-lo.
- (1) year of experience in tool and die in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
- Record and track all shipping transactions utilizing a scan gun.
- Able to safely operate a forklift and heavy equipment in tight places.
- Perform cycle counts, and compile inventory information.
- Determine stock supply and consumption rates.
- Able to work closely with team leaders and supervisors on forecasting Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Follow safety protocol.
- Read and comprehend schedule and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Inspect manufactured goods for defects, quality, proper material and correct size and specifications.
- Housekeeping while in between quality checks. (5’s Area/ Aisle)
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Benefits
- Hourly Pay Rate $22.00
- 2nd shift includes $1.00 shift differential
