About The Position

The inventory Specialist position is responsible for supplies in our warehouse. This position manages inventory and fulfills employees’ requisitions for PPE and tools. A supply room clerk maintains employees supply storage locations, monitors and fulfill any needs. Ensure all parameters of Safety, Food Safety and Quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout the plant. Immediately report to supervisor any incident and unsafe condition.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in Logistics or equivalent.
  • Experience within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in the use of planning and project management tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bending, lifting, carrying, going up and down ladders/steps.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Must be knowledgeable of GMPs, FSSC 22000:2005 and HACCP.
  • Proficiency with computer software related to planning responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, spreadsheets, and other logistics software.

  • Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Tracking stock levels, updating inventory databases, and identifying potential stock shortages.
  • Assigning received items to designated locations.
  • Maintaining inventory records, checking shelves, verifying inventory levels, and tracking supply movement.
  • Comparing the Receipt Transaction Report to ensure that the correct quantity and product have been received and storing them in the supply room.
  • Recording received items in the inventory system, including quantity, condition, and location, following established safety and organizational procedures.
  • Preparing damaged or incorrect items for return to suppliers.
  • Preparing and documenting damaged equipment for repair shipment.
  • Ensuring the safe storage and handling of supplies, following policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for chemical products.
  • Maintaining accurate records of transactions related to supply requests from users and different departments.
  • Ensuring that delivered materials are correct, meet specifications, and are in the required quantities.
  • Maintaining process documentation related to purchase requisitions, inventory, and movements.
  • Communicating regularly with the Supply Room Manager to clarify any issues related to orders or deliveries.
  • Following housekeeping standards.
  • Keeping the area organized and clean.
  • Performing all tasks in optimal time and with precision.
  • Complying with safety policies and sanitation regulations.
  • Performing other tasks assigned by management.
