About The Position

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for coordinating weekly cycle counts and month-end activities. This role involves identifying the root causes of inventory discrepancies and collaborating with other departments to resolve them. The specialist will proactively work to prevent the aging of materials to minimize loss, lead by example, train material handlers on effective cycle counting, and educate them on the importance of inventory accuracy. The position requires conducting regular cycle counts, updating perpetual inventory, and reconciling production orders for accurate finished goods production and material consumption.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
2 or more years’ experience of supply chain experience
Demonstrated math skills
Demonstrated computer skills; MS office and email, SharePoint a plus
Experience with ERP or WMS programs, SAP a plus
Self-driven and can work well independently. Takes a proactive approach.
Knowledge of Maker’s Pride products, production and inventory processes.
Knowledge of Material handling, Receiving warehouse and flow of materials
Skilled in Organization and time management
Skilled in Data analysis and problem solving using defined methodologies
Skilled in Decision making
Ability to Lead by example, promote team work
Ability to Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to Ensure collaborative relationships with Hearthside staff
Ability to Work effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to Issue and receive instructions using guidelines
Ability to Utilize ‘best in class’ behaviors with focus on safety, quality, and policy focus
Ability to Multi-task and respond to non-routine requests
Ability to Work in a detailed oriented fashion
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, and Excel (SAP a plus)

Responsibilities

Point person for day-to-day inventory issues
Manages cycle counts for geographic counting (A-Z): generates cycle count list, may involve daily cycle counting, and cycle count corrections
Root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies, look for solutions to recurring problems
Track and maintain inventory accuracy for cycle count and HTL (High Traffic Location) accuracy at your site. Log information in to Share Point.
Report out weekly cycle count and HTL (High Traffic Location) accuracies for your site.
Account for all production usages for each production run, check for variances/errors during reconciliation.
Respond to count requests from various departments promptly depending on priority
Ensure accuracy of cycle count transactions
Execute dispositions after material(s) have been physically removed from warehouse, removing material from SAP.
Monitor all blocked quants and resolve in a timely manner.
Monitor HTL (High Traffic Location) areas and send out daily emails to departments that need to follow up on pallets sitting longer than 24 hours.
Attend drumbeats to discuss any Inventory Control issues that are being caused by other departments not following correct processes.
Investigate and resolve any negative quantiles showing in all systems.
