About The Position

The Inventory Specialist supports ROMTech’s Operations by managing inventory accuracy, distribution activities, and device readiness within the assigned location. This role ensures efficient receiving, storage, preparation, and shipment of devices and materials critical to supporting Clinician guided at-home rehab. The position contributes directly to operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction by ensuring devices are clean, functional, accurately tracked, and delivered on time.

Requirements

  • Ability to organize and manage inventory accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to safely lift and move items up to approximately 60 pounds
  • Ability to operate manual or mechanized material handling equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic proficiency with technology platforms and inventory systems
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks
  • 1–2 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, transportation, or related field
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
  • Ability to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, bend, and lift.
  • Must be able to work a full shift standing if required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure safe and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Must be able to understand and relay verbal instructions in a fast-paced or noisy environment.
  • Must be able to give and receive clear verbal instructions in environments where hearing protection may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP platforms
  • Experience handling medical devices or regulated inventory
  • Familiarity with logistics coordination and third-party carriers
  • Experience with inventory control, residential deliveries, or medical device handling
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • OSHA or DOT-related certifications (training provided if not currently held)

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate receiving, storing, organizing, and shipping of devices, supplies, and materials
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including finished goods, equipment, PPE, and supplies
  • Execute inventory transactions in system platforms (e.g., transfers, assignments, and adjustments)
  • Perform regular cycle counts and participate in physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy
  • Coordinate deliveries and pickups with third-party carriers
  • Clean, test, and prepare devices for distribution or return to inventory
  • Build and disassemble devices as needed for distribution and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate and secure device records in compliance with company standards
  • Support patient device deliveries and pickups to locations such as hospitals, residences, and care facilities, as needed
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and DOT requirements (training provided)
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety within the warehouse environment
  • Conduct safe handling of inventory using manual and mechanized equipment
  • Assist with maintenance of company delivery vehicles as needed
  • Support general operational processes and cross-functional tasks within the distribution center
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support operational and business needs
