About The Position

We specialize in producing high-quality personal care and household products. We are seeking an Inventory Specialist for our First Quality Baby Products location in Macon, GA. This role is crucial for maintaining the daily integrity of inventory and ensuring excellent housekeeping standards within the production environment.

Requirements

  • Standard knowledge of product codes, general warehouse procedures, and the radio frequency system.
  • Fundamental computer knowledge or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to operate all warehouse material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Observe all safety rules and use proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Follow necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines.
  • Conduct cycle counting.
  • Assist the Supervisor/Group Leader in managing quality-control systems, including training personnel, monitoring compliance, and troubleshooting problems.
  • Conduct audits of incoming materials as requested.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventories.
  • Conduct inventory variance research.
  • Assist with the training of other employees.
  • Monitor housekeeping in all plant areas and direct efforts to maintain excellent standards.
  • Operate radio frequency equipment for inventory movements, barcode scanning, and physical inventories.
  • Perform other duties as necessary when directed.
  • Inspect all equipment used on a daily basis and report defects to Management.
  • Support production lines with material requests.
  • Assist with repack and labeling operations when necessary.
