About The Position

The Inventory Specialist is primarily responsible for performing tasks involved in issuing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment in response to Inventory Requests and Work Order pick lists. Follows established procedures and verbal instructions. Assists in cycle counting and is responsible to bring any discrepancies or issues regarding accuracy of inventory balances and locations to the attention of the Inventory Management Supervisor. Strives to maintain high internal customer satisfaction with efficient and complete service and support.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior inventory control experience (1-2 years) in manual and electronic Stockroom Department functions
  • Effective verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization
  • Computer literate, with MS Office/PC experience
  • Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Receive, track, and distribute materials and supplies
  • Prepare variety of routine administrative paperwork
  • Read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers
  • Enter materials from internal and external locations into stock and enter into computerized records system
  • Assign primary stock locations as necessary
  • Pull/pick materials (stocked items) for work orders
  • Prepare items for shipment as required
  • Pull/pick kitting work orders
  • Maintain accurate counts and inventory records
  • Distribute and perform material handling duties
  • Abide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to all regulatory and internal system requirements
  • Actively participate in team meetings, improvement initiatives/programs, etc. and support actions to drive company initiatives/goals
  • Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication at all levels internal and external to the organization
  • Consistently demonstrate commitment to company values
  • Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems
  • Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
  • Ensure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained
  • Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required
