This position is primarily responsible for properly reconciling all short shipped, incorrectly shipped & damaged parts from Caterpillar and other necessary vendors. This position will also assist in tracking worn cores, processing electronic invoices and CAT promotional rebate claims. The role involves analyzing incoming freight reports to validate missing inventory, coordinating with the parts counter to reorder short-shipped customer parts, and working alongside warehouse staff to locate and validate inventory discrepancies. The analyst will file claims within vendor portals to receive credit for missing parts, work with remote branches on inventory claims, and answer vendor questions regarding claims. Furthermore, the position requires reconciling claim credits with the accounting department, notifying service personnel of short-shipped parts, validating missed customer orders with the service department, and applying appropriate marketing programs to discounts. Submitting and reviewing completed rebate claims, regularly reporting on worn core attrition liability, and assisting in other areas of Inventory Control are also key aspects. The analyst will also work with Accounts Payables to resolve Caterpillar e-Invoicing discrepancies and collaborate with branches on current stocking levels.
