The Inventory Receiver is responsible for accurately receiving product and supporting the completion of receiving reports. This role maintains standards in the receiving department related to organization, cleanliness, safe operation of forklifts, safe product placement, product protection, and cold chain standards. Team members are expected to carry out assigned job functions, support club policies and procedures, strive for flawless execution, act with honesty and integrity, lead with the member in mind, ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, work collaboratively, move with speed and agility, innovate, adapt, and maintain a friendly and positive attitude. They are also expected to deliver service excellence to members, resolve concerns, and ensure a safe and positive experience. Daily commitment to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate) and Fast, Friendly Full, Fresh, Clean Club Standards is required. Understanding how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department and seeing the connection between consistent execution and positive business impact is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Maintain visible accurate signage
  • Clean and organized, inside and out
  • Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for your department
  • See the connection between consistent execution and the positive impact it can have on the business
  • Properly researches and annotates receiving reports including, but not limited to, direct-to-club reports and negative-on-hand reports.
  • Supports processing and organization of files, receipts and outbound shipment paperwork.
  • Maintains dock security, conducts bag checks, monitors flow of team members and visitors in and out of receiving and secure areas.
  • Ensure compactors are locked, secured, only used by authorized personnel and that all product has been properly accounted for.
  • Safely operates a forklift and receives merchandise accurately and according to company process and policy.
  • Ensures received merchandise is properly stored according to product specifications.
  • Receives Direct Store Delivery (DSD) loads and processes DSD credits as needed.
  • Processes reverse logistic information and corporate-office-initiated returns.
  • Ensures the dock is organized and clean.
  • Maintains all club policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
