About The Position

Polkadog is seeking an Inventory & Production Coordinator to join their Boston-based team. This role is crucial for ensuring treats are available on shelves, wholesale partners are satisfied, and the production kitchen operates smoothly. The position begins part-time, focusing on mastering inventory systems and record-keeping, with a clear path to a full-time role involving demand forecasting and production planning. The ideal candidate is curious, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with a desire to grow with the company during an ambitious growth phase.

Requirements

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
Comfortable with computers and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Willingness to learn new systems.
Proficient in basic math, including counts, conversions, and reconciliations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to remain accurate in a deadline-driven, hands-on environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

2+ years in an inventory control, warehouse, or production support role.
Hands-on experience with Fishbowl Inventory.
Interest in manufacturing, supply chain, or the pet/CPG industry.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory records in the Fishbowl system.
Enter production data and track materials for the production team.
Reconcile packing slips and purchase orders with system records.
Monitor inventory levels and flag items needing reorder to prevent production delays.
Plan and execute cycle counts and physical inventories.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Forecast demand based on sales data and seasonal trends.
Plan production schedules to optimize product output.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding reorder timing and manage relationships.
