About The Position

The Inventory Planning Analyst II supports advanced inventory planning and optimization, with an emphasis on Truck Parts purchasing, forecasting, replenishment, and inventory management. The role analyzes demand and inventory performance to optimize purchasing decisions, improve product availability, and minimize excess inventory while collaborating with Merchandising, suppliers, manufacturers, and operational teams. The position works across inventory management, business analysis, and supply chain technology. It optimizes purchase-order and replenishment processes, develops and enhances inventory strategies, supports vendor partnerships, and uses analytical and technology tools to improve supply chain performance. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management or another business-related field and/or 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
In-depth, hands-on knowledge of retail merchandising systems.
Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue-resolution techniques.
Highly motivated self-starter.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and Six Sigma process improvements.
Knowledge and use of Blue Yonder, Tableau, and/or SQL.

Responsibilities

Optimize purchase-order and inventory-replenishment processes, including forecasting, generating purchase orders, vendor communication, monitoring shipping timelines, confirming delivery, and approving invoices.
Implement and recommend enhancements to Love’s inventory strategy and replenishment processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to refine inventory initiatives.
Improve inventory performance, meet in-stock percentage goals, optimize inventory turnover, and mitigate aging inventory.
Implement inventory strategies tailored to category, seasonality, promotions, and domestic and international suppliers in accordance with the financial plan and business objectives.
Coordinate special programs, large buys, and end-of-month or end-of-quarter deals, and recommend potential purchasing incentives.
Collaborate with inbound logistics partners to coordinate deliveries.
Enhance strategic vendor partnerships by collaborating with vendors to leverage forecasts and implement inventory strategies.
Optimize predictive modeling, machine learning, and other analytical tools to deliver data-driven insights supporting strategic decision-making.
Enhance reporting and analysis tools through business intelligence platforms to analyze sales, purchasing, and inventory patterns.
Develop analytical reporting to improve supply chain processes.
Use analytics and business knowledge to create cost-effective purchase orders and achieve required goals and relevant KPIs.
Analyze and optimize process flows, identify gaps, and implement improvements to efficiency standards.
Provide testing and recommendations on technology enhancements to Love’s inventory and replenishment platforms and tools.
Leverage technology to execute business strategies and objectives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
