About The Position

The Inventory Planner plays a key role in ensuring accurate data, efficient inventory management, and smooth logistics operations in a dynamic, high-volume environment. This role combines traditional inventory planning responsibilities with hands-on work managing pre-production devices, tracking assets, and supporting hundreds of internal stakeholders. You will operate from a company-wide perspective, collaborate across functions and business units, and contribute to cross-functional project development while maintaining high standards of organization, communication, and customer service.

Requirements

  • 1 year of relevant experience as an Associate Planner, Associate Buyer, or in a closely related inventory or logistics role.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a logistics environment handling high volumes of products, shipping, and delivery processes.
  • Strong multitasking ability with proven experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Customer-facing experience and comfort interacting with internal customers to address needs, provide updates, and resolve issues.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail in managing data, inventory records, and device tracking.
  • Proficiency with business software such as Excel and internal tracking tools for data management and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining team-oriented and collaborative.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing demands.
  • Strong execution skills in following processes, maintaining data integrity, and delivering results under tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using asset trackers and leveraging AI tools to enhance logistics and inventory tracking.
  • Experience in logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and delivery coordination.
  • Project management skills, including organizing tasks, managing timelines, and coordinating stakeholders.
  • Degree preferred, in a relevant field such as supply chain, business, operations, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in device distribution, hardware operations, or engineering support environments is beneficial.
  • Comfort negotiating deadlines and priorities with internal customers and balancing competing demands.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a willingness and desire to serve internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in an independent, customer-facing team that supports hardware and prototype development.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure data accuracy so all inventory tools, tracking systems, and operational processes function as expected.
  • Manage inbound shipments, including purchase order tracking and maintenance, monitoring fill rates, resolving operational issues, and communicating with vendors.
  • Analyze inventory positions and SKU performance to determine inventory needs and support informed purchasing decisions.
  • Execute and maintain a variety of purchase order, in-stock, and vendor-related systems and reports to support inventory planning activities.
  • Receive, allocate, and distribute pre-production devices for hundreds of internal customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform hands-on work with devices, including preparing units for shipment, organizing inventory, and ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Track devices and inventory using internal asset tracking tools and other business software, ensuring real-time visibility and reliable data.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, manage expectations, and provide customer-facing support related to device availability, shipping status, and inventory questions.
  • Leverage AI-based tools and trackers to improve logistics, inventory tracking, and reporting efficiency.
  • Coordinate logistics activities, including processing shipping and deliveries in a high-volume environment.
  • Support project management efforts related to device distribution, logistics, and inventory optimization.
  • Multitask effectively and manage competing customer demands, negotiating deadlines and priorities as needed.
  • Collaborate as part of the Device Services and Tracking Team, sharing knowledge, supporting peers, and participating in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Meet tight deadlines while working on several projects simultaneously, maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.
