About The Position

This role involves performing inventory planning and inventory control to support team goals. The Inventory Planner will report to the Inventory Manager and be located at Cranberry Township, PA, supporting the role in a hybrid capacity, working 2-3 days in the office.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Must have 2 years of related experience.
  • SAP or other ERP experience, with the candidate possessing specific knowledge of MRP, inventory management, forecasting, and purchasing.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's/Bachelor's degree
  • APICS/CPIM certification.
  • Knowledge of discrete and continuous manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of system-based Material Master creation, Bill Of Materials creation, and Workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Build value-adding relationships with internal customers and important working organizations including Customer Service, Project Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance by communicating openly and respectfully to create dialogue.
  • Review, validate, and implement MRP generated requisitions to meet business and customer demand.
  • Meet on-time delivery and inventory goals by developing material usage forecasts and inventory strategies. This includes maintaining forecasted demand, as well as re-order points/safety stock into SAP ERP for all important products.
  • Work with Purchasing to ensure material support of the production and inventory plan.
  • Work with product engineering to review and disposition excess and obsolete inventory, and identify uses across the market for this inventory to minimize losses.
  • Participate on process improvement teams and implement recommendations to improve functional efficiency through use of SAP and related modules.
  • Identify actions necessary to achieve task completion and to obtain results;, quotas, and performance goals.
  • Help establish and implement processes that are consistent with Company Guidelines and Business Unit Policies and Procedures, and inventory and supply management best practices.
  • Support important inventory management performance metrics per site, and for Business Unit to attain financial metrics.
  • Participate in delivery of training programs on process and associated software tools. Coach personnel in using software tools to implement Westinghouse inventory management processes.
  • Eliminate error-likely situations by prioritizing safety and Human Performance.
