About The Position

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of new and used vehicle inventories across all dealership rooftops. This role involves managing the movement of vehicles between various locations, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining vehicle appearance, and assisting sales managers with various tasks. The position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, often outdoors in various weather conditions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills are necessary.
  • Must be energetic and able to walk at a fast pace and stand for 8 hours a day.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must have organizational skills and time urgency management skills.
  • Must have computer skills to maintain used and new car inventory 661679 software.
  • Must be able to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds by self more than 50 with assistance.
  • Must be able to tolerate harsh weather conditions: excessive heat and excessive cold.
  • Must be able and willing to spend most of the day outdoors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of New and Used inventories across all rooftops.
  • Move cars between the dealership’s display area, workshop, storage facility, and the pick-up point.
  • Move cars to other dealership facilities for recalls and warranty repairs.
  • Drive and handle all cars responsibly to ensure damage prevention, and protect dealership property at all times.
  • Complete monthly physical inventories.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the interiors and exteriors of cars on the lot.
  • Provide assistance with keeping the lot clean and tidy at all times.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing batteries and filling up on gas, oil, and other fluids.
  • Perform daily battery maintenance.
  • Work with sales managers to complete tasks, such as keeping track of key tasks, driving vehicles from service, following dealership display standards, fielding customer requests, and other duties.
  • Be alert of traffic flow to sales and service lots and keep all fire lanes clear.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report all accidents to a manager.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
